Howdy all. We're looking to bring on a second full time Django / Python developer in downtown Tampa, Florida (33602) on the waterfront.
We're a medical company developing numerous systems that are built on the wonderful Django platform. Desirable Skills: * Moderate to Advanced Python skills * Knowledge of Django or other web frameworks (with the ability to easily pick up Django) * HTML/CSS (note that products are XHTML Strict and our users ONLY use Mozilla Firefox, no working around IE bugs except on public sites!) * Javascript (beyond simple website usage, we do NOT use "AJAX") * Knowledge of MySQL, specifically version 5. Knowledge of replication a plus. * SVN or CVS experience (we use SVN + Trac) * FreeBSD administration (6.2-RELEASE), Apache 2.2.4, Python 2.5, Dovecot, Postfix all a plus Note that the skills aren't all required, I'm just giving an idea of the kind of shop we are. We're a relatively new company and have been operating for roughly 3 years. We're fully funded (no VC) and cash- flow positive. Downtown parking is provided. Some traveling may be required in the future. Any graphic design skills, ranging from simple icons and colors on the web to full blown print ads is a strong plus. We use Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign from CS2. Any skills in administering a small Windows network are a bonus, too. Unfortunately, we are not looking for non-local developers at this time.
