I am probably turning blind.. but I am still not able to figure out
why string "value" is being passed instead of value "value"

I have the following template
                                {% for value in list %}
                                        <td class="ColumnListValue">{%
formatDateTime_5 value %}</td>
                                {% endfor %}
and following tag
@register.tag
def formatDateTime_5(parser, token):
    tag_name, date_to_be_formated = token.split_contents()
    return FormatDateTimeNode(date_to_be_formated)

Any idea why??
Regards,
