This is a fairly common request, but I've never implemented it. I believe that the correct way to achieve this is to use a custom form and/or manager with your app. It is possible, but I personally don't know how to do this. I skimmed the admin doc for info about a using a custom manager. I didn't see it, but that doesn't mean it isn't there.
