Right now, the state of Django with regard to multiple-database support is essentially this: * If you need to ask, it can't be done. * If you know how the internals of Django work, it _can_ be done, but it's isn't completely trivial. Adding formal API support for multiple databases has been discussed many times over the history of Django's development. A recent discussion came close to resolving the major API issues, but didn't resolve them in time for consideration for the Django v1.1 release. I would expect that multiple database support will be a likely candidate for v1.2. Search the archives of django-users and django-developers if you want to know more. > If no, why does Django framwork not support this requirement? Because this is a volunteer project, and it hasn't been a priority for any of the core developers to date. If you want to volunteer to help, feel free to do so.
