There's nothing special about settings.py. You could do something like:
from Crypto.Cipher import Blowfish blowme = Blowfish.new(SECRET_KEY) DATABASE_PASSWORD = blowme.decrypt(ENCRYPTED_PASSWORD) Securing SECRET_KEY is left as an exercise for the reader.
