Hi, if you're interested in helping with the Django non-relational project, which brings native ORM support for cloud/NoSQL DBs, you should join this discussion group: http://groups.google.com/group/django-non-relational
This project should make non-relational DB development much easier and make Django apps portable across different cloud (and non-cloud) platforms - which means more code reuse and no vendor lock-in. If your company allows this then please help us and make this your 20% project. We're working on an App Engine backend, but the backend API we've introduced also allows to implement other backends like MongoDB, SimpleDB, CouchDB, etc., so we also need contributors in that area. Apart from that, we currently need help with back-porting Django's SQL layer to our backend API (which means that we might have to modify the API in some places, so it's not stable, yet). For more information you should also look at the project wiki: http://bitbucket.org/wkornewald/django-nonrel-multidb/wiki/Home Bye, Waldemar Kornewald -- http://twitter.com/wkornewald http://bitbucket.org/wkornewald/ http://allbuttonspressed.blogspot.com/
