Hey guys! Well, it's Thursday again and close to the weekend! (or, for some of you lucky bastards, it's the beginning of the weekend! whoOhoo!) Anyways, what this means is that it's time to head to B-town and get your groove on!! (...and drink on!)
Tonight: Ascension, the lovely lovely weekly that takes place in beatiful downtown Berkeley. DJs for the night will be me (aka Denise), Dave Parlier, Fuckwork, and maybe possibly some other ACME residents. I will be closing it up from 11:30-2, a lovely lovely 2.5-hr set! In addition to my usual banging hard house & nrg, I might start it up or end it with a lil bit o-groovy house music! maybe possibly... guess you'll have to come to find out! Ascension is located at Blake's on Telegraph (betw. Durant & Channing) in downtown Berkeley. 18+, but 21+ to drink. full bar as well as restaurant on the main level. $8-18+/$5-21+. I've also just found out that by some miracle ACME Dave has convinced Blake's to completely renovate the downstairs room... some of the changes that will be taking place are a bigger & badder sound system (aww, yeah!) and intelligent lighting. All the changes should be done by the time the 3-Year Ascension Anniversary takes place on Jan. 17, 2002. It's gonna be good! Alright, then! Thanks for listening & see you @ Ascension tonight!
