hey guys!

sorry i just kinda dropped off the face of the earth for a short while! i
actually ran away to thailand w/ my family to go to my cousin's wedding! (a
far way to go for a wedding, huh?) anyhow, we used the occasion as an
opportunity to finally visit my mom's homeland, and actually the first thing
we did was visit her home town! very interesting. i visited several
different cities, including lamnari, chum saenc, roi et, lop buri, khon
kaen, and of course bangkok... plus flew down to phuket (not pronounced the
way you think it is, you slapper) to do some touristy beach/sea/sun/island
stuff. overall a nice getaway, but to be honest i'm glad to be back! most
of the pictures we have were from 2 digital cameras, and those'll be up on
my web site some time soon... i'll email you w/ the link when i've got them
up & running.

well, my new tape's getting closer & closer to being done, i got back the
tape master yesterday, but after listening to it, i need to send it back and
have the tape guy change the levels a bit. still need to get the tape cover
finished as well.

also, sound asylum III is slowly solidifying into a sure-fire slammin'
party... as of now, looks like it'll be in june some time... of course i'll
keep you posted with that! djs we've got in mind (not confirmed in any way,
shape or form just yet) are donald glaude (the ultimate entertainer!) and
ziad from tripoli trax/london. this time we're going big, well, big
compared to the last 2 SAs. the first 2 were both around 700-800 in size,
this one will be almost 3x as large!

also, i've read over emails on the d-list that have been sent while i've
been away, all i gotta say is lighten up people! first of all, this list
has always been pretty quiet, that's why it's not a headache to be on (as
opposed to sfr, for example, where you get hundreds of emails a day!) and,
enough w/ the "omg the scene is dead!" some one stated it nicely a while
back when they said the scene only dies when you stop going. go to parties
w/ a good attitude & good vibes, and when things ain't looking so fantastic,
just make sure to make the best of a bad situation.

all right, sorry about the blabber at the end. just don't like seeing
people so pessimistic.

take care &
peace & love,

denise :)
