I have been playing with mixers and vinyl for close to five years. And have loved psy for most of that time. But I have been playing with those records on the side for only about a year, and just now have I started to play it out. WHY you say?
because it is hard as shit. It is the one style of music that uses no cookie cutter track layout (HH, NRG, trance, house). The new stuff is a bit easier than the old, but it is still very random and abstract. And each producer has their own Dj stumping tricks. And that is what I love about it. You can never really master, it will always be a challenge. That is why the majority of Psy and Goa Dj's cannot mix, or wait till the end of the track to throw in a real quick mix into the next (uphonic). to help you out? Make sure you have mastered every other style of mixing, cause you will use them all when trying to combine the many different producers, sounds, and track layouts that you will encounter. Or make friends with a the Thump guys, and make it look like you can mix while you blend breakdowns and ambients. It isn't easy, is deff nothing I would have ever started out with. And it never gets easy, even on a good night, you are still working your ass off..... good luck andy -----Original Message----- From: DJ Euphoric [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, March 07, 2002 6:53 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [D] TECHNICAL QUESTION FOR THE DJS OUT THERE HEY GUYS, IVE GOT A TECHNICAL QUESTION...
