All right people!
There's been a lot of ruckus on the list this past week, and I only have a
few things to say:
1. Layce has been suspended from the D-list... I was kind of rough on her
as I did not give her a fair warning, but let this be a lesson to you all
that I will not tolerate people being derogatory/mean/rude/etc to others on
the list. If you have issues with something someone has posted, then reply
back to *that individual* and not the entire list!
2. Taken directly from "GUIDELINES OF THE LIST:"
"D. I don't mind swearing, you bitch."
And this still holds true. HOWEVER: I don't appreciate swearing when used
in parallel with negative energy. In general, I don't appreciate negative
posts: remember these guidelines?
"E. No whining."
"F. No complaining."
3. 'kay guys. For those of you who know me, you'll know that I'm a fairly
chill person. I don't like drama; I like to stay out of it when it's not my
business. Drama on this list *is* my business, hence this post. The point
I'm trying to make here is that I didn't create this mailing list so that we
could all bitch & moan & yell at each other & etc etc etc... Like I said
before, I'm not into the idea of sending off negative energy to others, and
I think it's safe to say that others don't like being on the receiving end
of this bad stuff either. So take a deep breath, think about the good
things in life (there's a lot more to it than getting laid, too! love,
friendship, music & drinking, to name just a few), and be happy. Cuz when
you're happy & you share your happiness, you make other people happy. And a
bunch of happy people is way cooler than a bunch of grumpy old arguing
farts. Besides, stressing out'll just give you wrinkles.
Hm. I think that about sums it up. Peace & love, people!
Denise
PS. Sorry if this ended up sounding a bit hippie-ish toward the end...
dunno what to say about that, 'cept that it's what I believe! So fuck off!
;)
PPS. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, Karina, the lovely moderator of the SFRaves
calendar, included a quote today that I thought was sort of appropriate for
what's been going on with the list. Take it for what it's worth, I suppose.
> While we live with others, no judgement of ours on them is possible
>which exempts us and separates us from them. To say all
> is vain, or all is evil, as moreover to say all is good, which is is
>hardly to be distinguished from it, does not belong to
> philosophy.

> --Maurice Merleau-Ponty
