ok,
for those of you who are broke like me and can't afford those
high-falootin massive rave prices to see heavily intoxicated european djs
flail around on the decks *cough* oakie *cough*, quickly tire of the full
body cavity searches by angry rent-a-po-po's looking for "weapons" (in
your shoe?) while insisting that a 2 glowstick limit is perfectly
reasonable for a *rave*, and/or may actually enjoy occasionally sitting
down to rest between songs without getting a flashlight in your face, well
here's a nice little something to do for free that's just as fun.
a group of local friends are throwing a nice house pawty next weekend and
there will be a real live dj (ok - it's actually a blow up doll taped to a
200-disc cd changer, but don't tell anyone), good muzack, oodles of
dancing space, a pool, large amounts of alcohol for those who are
interested, plenty of chill areas, free water/fruit/candy, no
rent-a-po-po's, and lots of friendly people. and all you gotta do is find
a way to get to Walnut Creek. ;)

Elysium presents *Emergence II*! Please help us celebrate the birthdays of
Oliver, Kevin, Nancy & Heidee on Saturday, June 22nd. Last year's
Emergence was off the hook, and this year's promises to be just as fun!
Local favorite DJ Oliver Twist will be hyping the crowd with his euphoric
selection of bangin tunes and cosmic beats. In addition to the main room,
Elysium also boasts eclectic rooms and outdoor smoking area with swimming
pool for your wandering pleasure. Water and other refreshments will be
