i think i would say that i liked about two thirds of his set. the first
two hours were flat out banging, slamming proggy anthems. the last hour
made me think 'ech.' he started throwing in a lot of trancier stuff, but
surprisingly boring. i think it was about then when i started looking
at my watch more often. have to say, love his programming. wasn't too
impressed with his mixing. i know he probably could have done better --
seemed like he wasn't trying. his transitions were really abrupt. had a
tendency to stop tracks in the middle of the break. it was nice the
first few times. then it started getting old. i guess he was trying to
work the crowd. also, he left very little of the intro and exits of each
track out. seems like he was mixing with just the bodies of each track.
but, he did make the crowd scream with the future shock remix of
lala-land, and soon after, he played blue monday (now hearing that song
on 1015's sound system made my birthday worth it). :D
