Helo alls,

First, this email is in no way intended to be aimed at any group or person.

I appreciate everyone's opinions and background on their idea of how long
something's been around and what was and is popular, but may I ask that we
not post this type of conversation on general lists that may start another
"What's better or more Popular" argument? Everytime a debate comes out
about musical tastes and styles, many of us get bombarded with an
overabundance of emails that eventually turns into a hostile discussion
thread. If you'd like to debate the demographics of a listening audience or
the logistics of record sales etc.., I don't think there's anything wrong
with that. But at least discuss it with utter respect for each other and
just put in your two cents. And as Andy said, it would be alot better if we
all just respected each other's lifestyles, listening styles, and tried to
get along. I don't really enjoy reading conversations from people who
preech Unity and respect for each other and then bash and bang on each
other when the opportunity arises.

My two bits.

Much love,

James

It's trendy to hate a genre that hasn't moved? All I hear from Trance is the
same thing.. I haven't heard one new thing from most genres of Trance for a
long long time. The only genre of Trance I've heard progressing is Psy
Trance and some Hard Trance. When producers can realize it's not about the
cash but about the people and innovation, maybe Trance will stopped the
current landslide it's on.

>HHC is like a SHIT that Trance took. It will be flushed soon enough, just
>like all the other SHIT!

Take a look into history. Hardcore has been around longer than most.. and
it'll continue to stay for the long run. Over 12 years strong and it'll keep
hittin hard.

On that note.. why can't everyone respect everyone's style? I don't much
like trance, but I respect it.. and I can appreciate a good track when I
hear it. Hardcore is coming up in a major way here in the Bay Area.. and is
quickly becoming known as the center of Hard Dance Music in North America.
Much like the Bay is considered the home of Cyber Trance, Deep House, and
Turntablism, it is now being known as the home for Hard Music. We can all
get along, as long as that respect is there and everyone can learn to drop
what stupid disrespect they have. If you don't like it, ok.. that's fine..
but please respect that other people do, and your opinion is not the all
'high and mighty' to make people stop liking it.
