four words: preaching to the choir

most of us know there are always bad apples in every crowd.

honestly, i think it's the type of crowds that the promoters draw.

if you want a big huge party/massive type, don't be surprised if some thugs
show up.
especially when you have shady ppl promoting stuff. i mean, tons of flyers
being plastered
over the business section of embarcadero -- who do you *really* expect to
come ? when
you aren't selectively promoting to people you really want at your party
(e.g. the
responsible partygoer), and just handing flyers out to the general masses,
when you're not
bothering to actually talk to ppl when you're giving them your flyer, and
instead handing it
to them while they're numbly walking out of a party with that glazed
e-tarded look on their
face and they can't tell which way is up, well, ... of course you're bound
to get some
rabble.

it really depends on who promoters are throwing the party for. the huge
groups of people
who really don't care about the scene ? or the selective partygoer who
actually likes to go
to the parties and socialize and believe in that now-farcical word, plur.

i've seen parties where the venue is completely trashed. i've seen parties
where there isn't
even a freakin flyer on the ground. it really depends on the crowd you
attract when you're
promoting.

btw, regarding flyers left outside of venues -- here's a good idea: how
about the promoters
who are throwing those parties which are on the flyers on the ground, PICK
THEM UP. it's
not that hard.
