Not true, my bike got stolen while in college, my registration had already expired so I didn't think to tell the cops about it... almost a year later, my parents got a phone call from the cops saying they had my bike! I got it back, poor thing was all rusty & fucked up. It had been found up in the mountains... <sniff!> abandoned, then somebody took it into their garage & left it there 'til they got sick of it. I still use it, though... had that muddafo since 7th grade. I remember I got it the same day the movie Arachnaphobia came out (remember that one?), and when I went to bed I was so freaked out by spiders but then I'd think about my spiffy new bike & wouldn't be scared anymore.

Enough reminiscing, the registration works.

actually, you do need to register your bike. if it is ever stolen, the
cops won't do a thing if you don't have it registered.
