well it seems as though some people do still have sense and can talk like a mature
adult, but i can't say i agree with everything that is being said. the truth is that
jus last night we were attacked. yes attacked. all of your american, and allied,
forces were fired upon both by rockets and small arms. i am a marine currently
deployed to a small air base deep inside the country of afghanistan. yes i will admit
that life sucks here, war is not fun. and i would never wish this upon anyone......to
be in my position that is. but you all are forgetting one thing; i am here because you
sent me here. right after 911 everyone was patriotic and wanted some sort of revenge
on all who were responsible for the attack. now jus a short time down the road you
decide to change your mind. now you are saying to give up the "pointless fight" and
come home. well it's jus a little too late fer that. we as americans started this
whole thing and now that the time comes to follow through you all run like cowards.
don you get it! we will still be attacked by the terrorists both here in country, and
yes, even back at home. they will never stop. they are driven by a force that is not
human, they are acting upon beliefs and religion. as long as we let this continue we
will all be in danger. they will jus keep makin attack after attack and they will jus
keep growin larger in devestation. and jus in case you think i am wrong, name one time
in our history when there was peace WITHOUT war...... the truth is that there never
was. it is the same principle as back in school....... there was always a bully right?
when did the bully stop? not until someone kicked the livin shit out of him! and that
is what our deployed forces intend to do. you civilians have no idea what it is like
to deployed for over a year at a time and then be told that you cannot fire back at
those who are firing on your position. the military as a whole has been ready since
the whole thing started, we are jus waiting for the order of execution. the acting
order. we will fight with more honor and courage than you have ever seen in our
nation's history. we will be quick and we will be efficient..... whether you like i
tour not. i think we all know that our president has made up his mind about what we
are going to do and i think as americans you should at least support the cause. i'm
not saying you have to agree with him or us(the ones who do the dirty work)but at
least understand that he is doing it for you. i am doing it for you. i don know any of
you on this list, but yet i am more than willing to risk my life for a chance to say
that the only reason you are free is because of me and what i do on the battlefield.
does that even occur to you people or do you jus take it for granted? take this as you
like and go ahead and slander me too, but jus remember that freedom does not come easy
and never without a price.
