It looks like that autoresponder doesn't understand the RFC version of 
DKIM.  I've seen this before.  What's the e-mail address of the 
autoresponder you used?

In short: Version 1 is correct; the autoresponder is buggy.

The usual problems include things like the MASQUERADE_AS or 
FEATURE(genericstable) features of sendmail which alter message headers 
after they've already been signed.  Are you using either of those?

If not, I can provide further instructions for tracking down the problem 
from your side.
