Murray, I found the cause of my dkim-filter problem. There were domain names in my Domain file that were not in my KeyList file. As soon as dkim-filter tried to sign an outgoing message with the wrong domain name, it crashed. It seems like a pretty severe response to a (potentially) simple mistake. Actually, I had 200 domain names in my Domain file. This Sendmail email server handles email for a bunch of virtual domains. Thanks for the help.
