Yes, but no logging is taking place. See below.

The milter is not being called when that email is submitted as the submission was not done through SMTP. That's why you don't see any dkim-filter related entries in the log. If the email is submitted through SMTP to localhost, it will be signed.

I am not sure. Emails sent exactly the same way (from a local webclient) for the szalbot.homedns.org domain do get signed. Here's an example:

BTW - in the meantime I upgraded to dkim-milter-2.5.3, so the above tests were done with this version.
The latest version in the FreeBSD ports tree is 2.5.5.
