Hi John, I don't know if this will help you, but I can tell you how I run dkim-filter. I placed my configuration file in /etc/mail/dkim and I start the filter with "/usr/sbin/dkim-filter -x /etc/mail/dkim/dkim-filter.conf".
I start dkim-filter from rc.local; I run Slackware and I'm not using the Sys V-style init system. Regards, Erik.
