DL will attempt to detect the correct locale of the browser and use it if available, otherwise switch to the customizable default. The user can however switch the language anytime. Adding a new translation is easy for anyone familiar with the gettext tools: you don't need programming knowledge. If you want to contribute a new language, simply subscribe to the mailing list and ask for guidance.
