Your sendmail wrapper workaround adequately proved the point of how you feel about exim, but name calling does not add value. In addition to filing bug reports and security research reports when I find problems and vulnerabilities in existing packages, I find that publishing my own software that is open to security and feature critiques from others is a good way to severely humble myself toward maintaining a generous spirit with other developers.
