We're way off in the weeds now, so I'll self-moderate and leave this behind.

My original point was that operators should measure how much legitimate email 
they're accepting that is sans a From: header, and put in controls if they can. 
 The last time this was measured (as there are people on the list that can and 
do look at data before making decisions), the number was very tiny where it 
existed at all.
