Stop exaggerating.  It is not the case that anywhere near 100% of list
managers actually *need* doodads, although a few (covering less than
1% of recipients, I bet) do need them, and many find them attractive.

Well, now we're back to arbitrarily close to 100% of list managers can live with rewriting the From: line, too.

That one doesn't. Other proposals involve the sending system publishing list of authorized forwarders and the like, which seems like a non-starter.

That would include global lists of known mailing lists. Again, Murray and I don't need them but other proposals do.
