Here is another case of two different answers:

1. What is done with a validated DKIM signature?  The answer is essentially:  lots of different things that are not specified in any standards document but that receivers find useful.  That's the same, benign answer that should be applied here.

2. There are always wails wailed, teeth gnashed, and garments rent (or purchased).  Worrying about that isn't ever helpful.  So don't.

ps. I thought my previous answer and John's were essentially the same, but am fine having his treated as a subordinate case of mine.  And that's a view I'm fine having be applicable pretty much any time.
