As it stands now, we still have a lot of pretty complex regressions that need to be addressed and also most of the few features for 2.068.0 are only half-finished. Given that a lot of people are at DConf we only had something between 1-2 weeks for the beta, so I think it's better if we concentrate on properly fixing the bugs, polishing the features and start with the beta after DConf.
