I started this discussion because I want to continue the work on the
Objective-C support. Before doing that I would like to first have a good
foundation. Taking the decision if the Objective-C support is enabled or not in
the makefile (as it does today) is not a good solution in my opinion. Since
both LDC and GDC supports cross-compiling (and hopefully DMD as well in the
future) I thought it would be a good idea to move the decision to runtime (of
the compiler).
