Decode HPE OEM Record 216: Version Indicator Record The Version Indicator Record provides version information both in binary form (FW Type Indicator and Version Data Format) and in string form (FW Name String and FW Version String.)
While typically a given BIOS will implement both the binary and string format, this is not required and not always done.
