Hi, all,
About the draft, we have presented and discussed several times in the DMM F2F
meeting.
Name: draft-yan-dmm-man
Title: Mobility Capability Negotiation and Protocol Selection
We want to collect your further comments and call for adoption in the WG.
Actually, we do not here define a new interface or protocol between MN and
access network in order to negotiate the mobility management protocol. This is
implementation dependent(maybe based on DHCPv6, ICMPv6, 802.21, Diameter or
other MN-AR interfaces). This draft mainly discusses this problem and proposes
the principle for the protocol selection.
Thank you very much.
BR,

Z.W. Yan

Abstract:
Based on different requirements, multiple mobility management
protocols have been developed. Different protocols have different
functional requirements on the network element or the host and then a
scheme should be used in order to support the negotiation and
selection of adopted mobility management protocol when a host
accesses to a new network. In this draft, this issue is analyzed.
