Hi Linda, Thank you for identifying the issues and for supporting the progress of this draft. This is very helpful.
The authors have revised to address the comments below: 1. YANG module is consistently as ietf-ac-udp-tunnel 2. IANA YANG prefix revised to match YANG module prefix (ac-udpt) 3. Revised in Appendix/Example to ietf-ac-udpt for Figure 5 and 6. 4. In Appendix/Example, added udp-src-prt to ac1 and ac2 in Figure 5 (creation). 5. Revised caption as suggested in Figure 7 And revised the nits identified. Re: YANG revision date (2025-09-18), we will check and update it if necessary. Posted new revision with the updates: https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdatatracker.ietf.org%2Fdoc%2Fdraft-ietf-dmm-udp-tunnel-acaas-extn%2F&data=05%7C02%7Cjohn.kaippallimalil%40futurewei.com%7C03b1925fdb7c4408b3d208df228815f3%7C0fee8ff2a3b240189c753a1d5591fedc%7C1%7C0%7C639267640032164788%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=XRQnVZ75C7dMeDKaAe558kpl86kUgxTowOHpebjOKAw%3D&reserved=0<https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-dmm-udp-tunnel-acaas-extn/> Best Regards, John From: Linda Dunbar <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, September 18, 2026 12:25 PM To: [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: FW: : WG Last Call: draft-ietf-dmm-udp-tunnel-acaas-extn-01 (Ends 2026-09-24) DMM group, I reviewed the draft. I think it is useful going forward to WGLC. However, I find several issues with the document, hope the authors can address them: 1. YANG module name is inconsistent. Section 3/Figure 1 calls the module ietf-ac-udpt, while Section 4 actually defines the module as ietf-ac-udp-tunnel with prefix ac-udpt. Is Section 4 the same YANG module for Section 3? The Introduction also says Section 3 describes the "ietf-ac-udpt" YANG module. 1. IANA YANG prefix does not match the module. The YANG module specifies: prefix ac-udpt; but the IANA Considerations request: Prefix: ac-udp-tunnel The IANA registration should normally match the prefix used by the module, i.e. ac-udpt. 1. Examples use an incorrect prefix. Figure 5 correctly uses "ietf-ac-udpt:udp", but Figure 6 uses "ietf-udpt:udp" for both ACs. These should be consistent with the module prefix, presumably "ietf-ac-udpt:udp". 2. The create-request example does not show the UDP source port. Figure 4 describes udp-src-prt: 5678 and 7890 as AC properties, and Figure 6 returns these values, but Figure 5-the request creating those ACs-does not contain source-port-range-or-operator. Since this is the primary new configuration defined by the draft, the example should either include it or explain how those port numbers are assigned by the server. 3. Figure 7 caption appears incorrect. The preceding text says Figure 7 is a request to create a Slice Service referencing the ACs, but the caption says "Response Indicating Creation of the ACs." The caption should describe the Slice Service request. Nits * Section 3: "The l3-service and l3-tunnel-service ... is used" -> "are used." * Section 3: "a range port numbers" -> "a range of port numbers." * YANG description: "a set of source ports numbers" -> "a set of source port numbers." * Acknowledgements: "reivew" -> "review"; "Yang" -> "YANG." * Security Considerations: "The data nodes ... inherits" -> "The data nodes ... inherit." * The YANG revision date is 2025-09-18, while this draft is dated July 2026. The authors should check whether the revision date needs updating before publication. The required setup to allow successful data exchange over these links is referred to as an attachment circuit (AC) while the underlying link for carrying network services is referred to as "bearer", in this case a Layer 3 UDP tunnel. This document specifies an extension for UDP tunnel as Layer 3 bearer to the YANG service data model for AC.
