Basically I don't get a dialog box appear at all... All that happens is I get the directory box appear and when I click 'select' nothing happens! The directory box doesn't even close!
I'll have another play tonight also as I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it... So far I've grabed from the FTP: Interactive drum kits and snares... I've only worked with a couple of the kits but they are very nice! Hallelujah ... Vocal loops and instruments.. Again I've only had a quick look but they seem quite good if that's what you're after. Symphony of voices 5... (I think) similar to Hallelujah in content and quality (though I could be wrong). Drumology (Not a sample cd, but a load of wavs).. OKish drum hits. East West Piano collection ... A piano soundset.. Haven't used it yet. East West Black Butta ... Hip hop loops... Haven't used yet Jazz Tip... Loads of Jazz instrumental cuts... Pretty good. And that's it... Thanks to everyone that posted them... I'll probly put a couple up myself when I get a chance... Not sure what stage you're talking about Nick, but the way I remember it, 1) Open Ext. Format 2) Click the import button below Volume, Program, whatever 3) You should get a dialog here that asks you if you want to merge with existing programs, etc. 4) when you click OK there the choose location dialog appears -- you need to actually select a directory and then click Select. I know I'll be playing with Halion tonight so I'll double-check then. PS what akai cds did you get from the ftp? Anyone recommend any good ones? pps - ph: Don't know about EXS24, but Halion really takes no resources at all (I'm a HUGE fan :) cheers Michael -----Original Message----- From: Nick Lankester [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 11 December 2001 5:02 pm To: Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List Subject: [dnb-prod] Re: Using AKAI sample CDs in Halion? Ah Right.... I thought I saw in the manual that once you select a directory it should bring up a message box where you can set up the import options (Convert to Halion instruments? etc...)... Do you not do it that way or have I misunderstood? cheers, Nick -----Original Message----- From: terry kilby [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 11 December 2001 17:00 To: Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List Subject: [dnb-prod] Re: Using AKAI sample CDs in Halion? I have been using HALion like a beast and it has stood up to everything that i can throw at it. Using two of them on the track we are doing now (24 programs) and even imported some EMU samples for two of the programs. I had a bit of problems at first, but once you get it to show up, and then you hit "import" under the Program, bank, sample that you want to import it will ask your for a folder to save it in. Once you have that dir i had to go back and import it again like a normal wav, aif, etc from said dir. Worked for me fine.
