They've both got similar features. The major differences seems to be the filters. Halion has lowpass, highpass, bandpass and notch, EXS24 only has lowpass. However, Halion's filter is really, really shit - it just sounds wank. EXS' is phat as fuck. Halion doesn't play well with Logic. I think there are problems with loading presets and some other issues, but it's been a while since I played with Halion. If you're a logic user get EXS... you won't regret it.
