Scope,

In short, no. I would be strategic death to Apple if they allowed OS
Ten's kernel to work on x86 chips. Then no one would buy a G4/Powerbook
to have OS X, they would just run in on their existing intel/amd box.
OS X is strictly PowerPC architecture to help sell expensive Apple
computers, which is their cash cow. But that doesn't matter I still
want G4 hardware regardless; UNIX on PowerPC is one of the best
combinations you can have performance wise....just look at IBM AIX on
RS/6000's (which have Motorola PowerPC chips just like Mac's). My
current pipedream: get a G4 and triple boot OS 9, OS X, and Yellow Dog
Linux (RedHat on PowerPC); Logic5 uberworkstation.

OT....one of my favorite records to this day is that old old streetbeats
by Oblivion (aka SD)...respect.

peace,
-LOS
