Subject: [dnb-prod] Soundcards : DMAN 2044 and a replacement

I finally decided to bin my Celeron 300, 64MB RAM and upgrade to something
that I can do some serious audio on (1.8Mhz proc, 512MB PC2100).

At the moment I'm using a DMAN 2044 soundcard but I don't reckon this is
gonna be up to the task. Any one using one or got any views on it?

If it's not gonna be usable what soundcards do people recommend? At the
moment I've got a Spirit FX16 so it needs to be an analog card. In the
future I'm hoping to get an 01V and connect via ADAT so preferably the
card will have both analogue and ADAT or be cheap so I don't waste too
much money when I have to buy an digital only card when I get the new
desk.

Cheers
Josh
