That's correct. A good audiocard for the money which does have Asio 2.0 (and Win2k and XP support) is the EMagic Audiowerk/2 card. It works great and it's under 200 dollars. Without ASIO you can probably use MME or DirectX however, in order to get low latency you will have to mess with buffer sizes and whatnot, and that can cause other issues with your machine, such as intensified processor usage, etc..
Hmmm... Buying another card isn't really an option right now. I'll poke around with those settings and see if I can get some sort of improvement.
