Event 20/20's sound really really nice but they're not flat response..

I'm going to save up for a pair of mackies.  I'm not very skilled when
it comes to picking out what sounds better, so I go with word of mouth
from trusted individuals.. and I've heard nothing but good things about
Mackie monitors.. they just cost a LOT.

I have a friend with some and he is quite happy with them.
Other than that, I've been hearing about Tannoy Reveals from many
people.
