it *does* matter which speaker you chooose, but more importantly, you need
to spend time, and "LEARN" your speakers... without understanding the
comparitive sound, you'll never get a good mix out of any speaker...

Yo man I heard the Alesis Monitor1's next to the Tannoy equivs
and the Tannoy's kicked. Well hung bottom end - much lower than that noticed
on any other monitors for that price bracket without going to the larger floor
standers....guess the hardest part of selectin monitors is deciding wether you
want true monitors (Yamaha NS10 *gag*) or nice sounders that arn't too dressed
up...depends on your relationship with your neighbors too!
