That .mp3 is directly exported from Fruityloops 3.4. All sound generation/processing/mixing is done in Fruityloops with a host of plugins. So, you ask what gear I'm using - just a computer with a low latency soundcard. Everything else is software. For the bass, its everyones favorite hoover sample swiped from one of the old prototype tracks - I can't remember which one. Then, its routed through the Waldorf DPole plugin to give back a bit of the warmth / distortion that got lost in the sample.. then through a little bit of Fruity Reverb. Speaking of the DPole, EVERYONE SHOULD PLAY WITH THIS THING. The distortion knob is the answer to everyone's complaint that digital sounds cold. Well, at least, its my answer for the time being :) I'm always on the lookout for analog distortion plugins / tape saturators.. Actually, every crucial sound in that track (drums included) is going through a copy of the DPole.. > everyones cup of tea, but definitely mine... :) thanks for the positive feedback :) trey --- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
