I know exactly what the sound quality is of fruityloops - fruityloops
plays little role in my music actually, all it does is act as a sequencer
and sampler.

The sampler is not something that can be screwed up - its a very simple
algorithm. Fruity uses 32bit floating point for its computations, so I
know there's no loss in quality there. The effects themselves may be
cheesy - but it supports vst and directx plugins, hello? Those are the
ones I use.

So, what determines the quality of tracks I make with fruityloops? The
samples I use (which I make myself and dig up on the net) and the plugins
I use. Fruityloops is mostly just a sequencer (a good one).
