I have a pair of Alesis M1 Actives and an Alesis S1 Active sub to go
with them, and its going mixer->s1->m1's, but that's the only way I can
do it with the inputs and outputs... The S1 has a crossover in it so the
M1's don't get the bottom-end (they don't do a super duper job with it,
anyway).

Why does genelec.com say to not do it that way? I guess maybe the longer
signal path before the monitors might muddy the sound a little, but not
that much I wouldn't think. I dunno, they're the experts, though!

Those Yamaha subs are nice. I got my S1 cheap on ebay, though, and it's
done me just fine.
