Ez nick, i done a music tech/producers weekend crash course at Point Blank about 3-4 yrs ago,it was 280 for a sat and sun(crash) or 6 weeks of 1day a week ,3hrs, course, expensive, but i had no other options of how to get in2 producing,as i knew no-one who even had a remote interest in this stuff, anyway I took the weekend. They were very nice peeps or peep as it were who ran it ,but u had 6 of us crammed round an akai s3000 etc all trying to look at the tiny lcd, so basically i learned very little as 6 of us were trying to all take turns etc(although it gave me a rough idea of the gear needed to make tunes etc) anyhow, i dont know what it would be like for the djing, but if the prices r anything like what i paid, i personally would have expected either 1-2 people in the class not 6! that way i feel id have learned more.Anyway nick, dont mean to go on, and for all i know things
there might have improved? cya, Andy. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nick Lankester" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, January 29, 2002 12:36 PM Subject: [dnb-prod] DJ courses in London.. > A friend of mine has decided she wants to represent the female species and > learn to DJ! > > She's found this site which offers some (very expensive) courses that seem > to cover pretty much everything: > > http://www.point-blank.co.uk/dj_desc.htm > > I just wondered if anyone had any suggestions as to how to do this for cheap > ? > (Other than just getting some random bloke out of the paper).. > > > It's well annoying coz I've got a load of mates who DJ who could teach her > but none of them are in London :( > > cheers, > > Nick > This document should only be read by those persons to whom it is addressed > and is not intended to be relied upon by any person without subsequent > written confirmation of its contents.
