I tried those drivers for a while and they eventually screwed my machine... (You have to swap back to the original ones to get Direct X games support). ..

 

For the moment I'm still using an SBlive value... It's completely rock solid in Cubase and Reason and I'm not really having any problems with Latency... How did I do it ? I installed Windows XP and Cubase 5.1 ... Since then, no problems....

(I'm using the default XP drivers for the SBlive)... Not exactly a quick fix (unless you have access to the software) but it's by far the best solution...

 

If you don't want to do all this though you could try uninstalling Cubase and the soundcard and starting again.. (Should work)..

Ok whenever I launch Cubase I get the message "The ASIO Driver could not be loaded" about 5 times then "Could not creat native audio engine".

I presume that this is because little old me is using a Soundblaster Live Platinum without ASIO drivers. This means that I cant sequence any audio either.
What can I do to sort this out and is it worth it considerig my latency on teh SB Live is about 52ms? Is the only decent solution a "pro" soundcard......meaning another few hundred ���'s :-(
