Yeah.. I've read a hell of a lot of things from other people saying a
similar thing.. 
Thing is that I've had it for the best part of a year and after considerable
tweaking etc. It's now the fastest and most stable board I've ever seen or
owned... I can understand people's reluctance to spend a whole lot of time
getting these things to work (until I installed XP it still wasn't 100%
stable and I'd been fiddling with it for months) but in my case at least I
think it was worth it.. 

Assuming that the RME card works OK I'll probly leave it until I want DDR
memory and dual processors ;)

not sure about the card, but i used to have the kt7 RAID board. Nothing but
problems with just about everything from random reboots, to freeze ups to
usb problems, save yourself some time and energy and grab another board if
you can, you will be a lot happier in the long run. If thats not an option
make sure you have the latest BIOS, and via drivers. just my 2 cents =) I
hated that thing...
