It's funny, the original was much wilder and much faster. This is getting
dangerously close to the topic that had me storming off this list in a
hissy fit a few months back, but, while I am a fan of the drum 'n' bass
sound,- if others' reactions are to be trusted,- I fail spectacularly in
trying to emulate it. That's why I call my music a Rorshach test; I'm not
hearing what separates my music from dancefloor d'n'b, but others seem to
have different, highly subjective, perceptions of it.

I got into dnb with a cd called "Drum 'n' Bass Conspiracy" which featured
the work of continentals like Daniel Myer and Peter Schwalm, and to this
day it remains my benchmark for all drum 'n' bass I hear. I consider most
of the music on there weirder than my stuff, so maybe that's why I have
such a skewered perception. I would be flattering myself were I to compare
my music to something like Hokusai's "Sculptures Hide", but that's
essentially what I'm aiming at.

Anyway, thanks for your opinions. Want a copy of my demo (anyone?)
