Hi Crix,

You can control VST with a Nova module? You assign the Nova nobs to send
specific Control data to Cubase?

That sounds pretty cool but it must be a nightmare to setup?

Is that what you mean?

Oh yeah.. That's the company I couldn't remember the name of! On my way to
check 'em out..
I just remembered a little hook up I have at Turnkey though... Maybe the
Virus could be made more affoardable!!

Nice one on the Supernova II... I've got a Nova and I know what you mean
about the liquid sounds! (Shame the nova falls flat on it's arse when it
comes to angry sounds though..!)... Soundslive ? Is that in the UK? I'm on
my way there!

cheers,

Nick

Hi

I know that Oberheim make really nice controller keyboards (better than most
synth keyboards up to about 750)
But......I'd just wait for the Virus (or a Supernova - see below) if i were

you tho, cos you'll be about 350 better off when saving for it and it'll be
easier if you wait and use the cash for the KB (the action will be just as
nice on a decent synth and you'll have more space too...)

Cheers

Dan

PS - Good news here too - thanks to my Barclaycard, i just got my grubby
mitts on my new Supernova 2 rack (845 new from Soundslive website - steal!)
- oh my god, this thing is f*cking awesome. I have dithered for about 18
months on a new synth and i am glad i chose this little baby. The sounds are
pure liquid smooth, deep bass and floaty silk strings and pads (or all out
metallic twisted anger). This is one quality piece of kit....

24 voices on 8 MIDI channels (up to 6 osc per voice in double saw mode!!!!)
and 56 simultaneous good FX (reverb is a little tinny, but hey) the filters
are fat, its got a great vocoder and inputs, plus a not inconsiderable 1024
decent presets to scroll thru before you have to start making your own
patches. Highly recommended and its made in the UK too, which is nice...
