Has to be said... I've seen rider take offence to people doing shit like that before!! Never seen people throwing dustbins round before though!! :)

EZ people, Just thought I'd let you know about a slightly mad drum'n'bass weekender we just had!!! Friday night we trekked up to Fabric for the Prototype records party with Grooverider, Roni, Bryan Gee, and Optical.....never been to fabric b4....wikid club, great atmos (even though it was RAM-JAMMED!!), with one of the best sound systems I have ever heard. Toptastic night....loads of new dubs dropped all over the place....except Optical who dropped loads of CD 'dubs' !!!! (cheaper than pressing up a dub i s'pose). Contrast that to Saturday night (yeah, did the double header w/e....although getting a bit long in the tooth nowadays for this!!)......So, Sat night we went to Southampton Guildhall for the Paradox event...again it was the Prototype Records night with Total Science, Digital & Spirit and the 'mighty' grooverider! Dodgy atmos already, as I have clocked at least 3 fights kicking off in the audience. (typical southampton!!!) Anyways, at 01:00, the mighty 'rider steps up to the wheels of power, big smiles all round, when one of the 'sexy' girly dancers on the stage drapes one of her lithe legs over the table where the decks and mixer were..(I presume she was showing 'rider she had shaved that evening!!). 'Rider, seemingly unimpressed, pushes her leg away off the table. Words appear to be exchanged between the 2....suddenly, 'rider throws a cup of water/ice over the girl, she throws it back, one of 'Rider's crew throws a large plastic dustbin at the dancer....now she is fucking steaming, picks up this huge bin above her head, and launches it at the 'mighty' 'Rider, who ducks just in time!!!!! She then sprints around to the other side and proceeds to beat up the 'mighty' Rider!!!!!....the decks get knocked, music off, lights up, as the WHOLE of the stage (incl. Rider) are involved in a massive brawl. MC's screaming "security to the stage area NOW please" Eventually it all dies down, but Rider is huffing about not playing his set (despite the fact he's been paid �1400 for an hour's set!!!)...the promoter is seen begging him to play...which he eventually does....and plays an extremely average set for 3/4 hour!!! I was quite bemused (and amused) by the whole thing....I don't think I've ever seen anything like that in the 11 years I've been going to parties!!!!
