Because Dubs are made on a lathe and is a one time proccess. Vinyl is made by cutting laquers, then making plates(not dubplates) then stampers, then pressing vinyl at a plant. Even though both a Acetate/Dubplate and Vinyl play on turntables, they are two different things

The dubs cost 50 $ because they are making only one copy for you, and not some 20 000 copies for the whole world to buy..
And I hope they are not making them on the Vestax vinyl cutter..

i was wondering knew why you can buy a 12in single for only $6 and it costs $50 for a dub plate to be made on scrunch recordings and its $20 for a blank vinyl for a vestax vinyl cutter.  is they're so secret that i'm just not allowed to know?
