Some software/hardware manufacturers recommend installing in "standard pc" mode rather than "ACPI". Theoretically, this should prevent a lot of your hardware being assigned to the same IRQ which in some cases can cause problems with audio.
Also I would recommend choosing a custom installation and not installing extra windows shit you will never need. al -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 08 March 2002 21:01 To: Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List Subject: [dnb-prod] re-installing win98se I'm gonna reinstall my OS this weekend. I haven't done it before, but it seems fairly straightforward. Any tips/warnings/etc. would be appreciated. I've backed up everything already.
