Some software/hardware manufacturers recommend installing in "standard
pc" mode rather than "ACPI". Theoretically, this should prevent a lot of
your hardware being assigned to the same IRQ which in some cases can
cause problems with audio.  

Also I would recommend choosing a custom installation and not installing
extra windows shit you will never need.
