Yes I guess I'd have both.

I'm not trying to knock the Yamha series, I have one and am pretty happy
with it and have no desire to change it.  I'm just saying, if I knew then
what I knew know and price were right then I'd go for the EMU even if it's
only for the fact it's industry standard these day's.

In an ideal world I'd have many samplers and an EMU and Yamaha would be at
the top of my list.

I'd argue that the Yamaha is more fun to use and may have some more
interesting features.
But the EMU has Z-plane filters.
