have you checked on the synth-diy and Analogue Heaven lists? Perhaps 
someone on there could help. Could be a busted op-amp on the noise and 
possibly a capacitor on the decay. (what it sounds like to me with my 
limited knowledge)

thanks for the tip, kind of sad that they give that crappy of service when 
they're trying to promote new products..
